HISTORY

HISTORY OF QUALITY

Many things in the mining industry today have electrical components that were conceived and brought into reality at the GEC “Old Shop”. Johnny Carter, GEC co-founder and CEO, had an extensive network of engineers and resources that had real practical experience; he could spot talent and often would surround himself with the very best. Coupled with an “Old school” work ethic and a conquering attitude he instilled a working environment that cultivated the ideas and solutions that could solve any problem.

Workmanship was second to none; the “Old Shop” produced some of the highest quality electrical equipment ever produced for mining, manufacturing and wood product industries. It is not unusual even today to see some of our older equipment still in service.

Today GEC, Inc. has built on that reputation and although we now have modern facilities we have not forgotten the “Old” ways. The same work ethic and conquering attitude still exist today and we would greatly appreciate an opportunity to bring quality and value to your business. Our electrical services have expanded into multiple fields of the electrical industry and our goal is to meet all of our customer's needs. We encourage you to stop by or call and see what we can do for you.
